About the Program
The Columban Faith in Action Program invites Religious Education leaders to engage students in meaningful conversations about faith, mission, and Catholic social teachings on global issues. Sessions are customised in consultation with educators to help connect with school curriculums, learning objectives, and student needs.

Stories from the mission field
When available, Columban priests and Lay Missionaries share prayers, mission stories, and theological or scriptural reflections from their work in countries that include:
- Philippines
- Myanmar
- Chile
- Peru
- Fiji
- Pakistan
Students are encouraged to see the connection between their faith and the realities faced by communities around the world through encounters with Columban Missionaries whose faith journeys inspire compassion, solidarity, and action.
MACS accredited
Staff formation
The program also offers MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools) accredited staff formation sessions that contribute towards the professional learning and ongoing formation of educators in Catholic Schools.
These sessions provide space for teachers to reflect on Catholic theology, scriptural teachings, and spirituality by drawing on the experiences of Columban Mission.

Our professional learning sessions support teachers and school staff to engage with key areas of Catholic mission, faith and social teaching through a Columban perspective.
Sessions are designed to encourage reflection, dialogue and practical application within the school community and can be delivered at your school or online.
- Session duration 1 hour
- Cost $450 + GST for up to 40 participants
- Additional participants $100 + GST per additional group of up to 20 participants
- Delivery In-school or online
For groups of more than 80 participants, please contact us to discuss your requirements and a tailored fee.
Where applicable, sessions are accredited through Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) and may contribute towards teachers’ professional learning requirements in the relevant accreditation categories.
