Our Plastic Footprint
The waste system generated by the economic growth model has led to the pollution of the oceans by micro plastics. “The earth, our home, is beginning to look more and more like an immense pile of filth”. Pope Francis, Laudato Si’#21.
Anne Lanyon has been running workshops in schools on “Our Plastic Footprint” in an effort to create awareness among young people and encourage action. She has recently been at St Columba’s College, Springwood, St Patrick’s College, Strathfield and Rosebank College, Five Dock.
