The Columban Peace, Ecology & Justice (PEJ) Centre has a wonderful network with whom we collaborate. In this way we are able to extend our reach.
Eco Mission NSW
Charles Rue and Anne Lanyon are members of the Ecumenical network, Eco Mission NSW. Anne Lanyon was part of a group which met with NSW Planning Minister, Rob Stokes to let him know of our existence and goals, as well as to express our concern that protection of ecological systems are a priority during planning processes. He received us warmly, listened attentively and encouraged us to keep advocating from our faith perspectives on behalf of the natural world. Anne presented him with a copy of 'Laudato Si’, and Simon Habel of Catholic Earthcare Australia presented him with a copy of The Francis Effect II - both of which he said he would read. 
COP 21, Paris
Hannah Cifuentes helped coordinate a Faith Ecology Network (FEN) representation to walk with other faith groups as part of a huge rally in Sydney in solidarity with the side events at the COP 21 meeting in Paris. We were proud to carry the FEN banner sending a message that this is a major concern of people of all faiths and none.
Columbans in Paris
Fr Charles Rue along with several other Columbans including Britain’s Columban Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation (JPIC) team, Ellen Teague and Julia Corcoran are in Paris for the COP21 Climate Conference. Columbans will join in solidarity with all peoples as they ask their government leaders to face the climate change crisis with immediate worldwide agreements implemented with strong local national laws. Launch of the Environmental Ethics Studies of Religion Teaching Guide
Sue Martin has steered the development of this project which was launched on November 6 and is now available on the new Catholic Sustainable Schools NSW Network (www.cssn.net.au). It is a unit of work developed collaboratively with assistance from the Office of Environment & Heritage, the Association of the Studies of Religion and the Catholic Sustainable Schools Network, a project of the Columban Mission Institute. It is aimed at assisting teachers undertaking the Environmental Ethics unit within the NSW Stage 6 Studies of Religion.
